Horticultural Community Support through
Plant Start and Produce Donations
In order to increase access to fresh food and green spaces around Rochester—especially for those who participate in on-farm experiences through HEAL and community members unable to visit the farm—we donate transplants (nursery plants) grown from seed in our greenhouse to community and school gardens. In 2025, we distributed 5,600+ seedlings to 19 community growing spaces.

Produce grown on the farm is donated to hunger relief efforts across Monroe and Ontario counties. During the 2025 growing season, we harvested and distributed 7,600+ lbs of produce. This contribution provided approximately 6,290 meals (or over 30,250 servings) of fresh, locally-grown food to our neighbors. We are incredibly grateful to our partners at Trillium Health, YWCA, and the Veterans Outreach Center for utilizing our harvest to build healthier, stronger communities.

We concluded our 2025 large donation season by distributing 75 household-sized Thanksgiving farm shares, which were provided to the women and families in residence at the YWCA apartments. You can support our ongoing mission to put nutritious meals on more kitchen tables by donating today!
