Children
EquiCenter’s nature-based programming is remarkably varied and consistently proven to provide numerous physical, emotional, and social benefits for children of all ages and abilities—individually and in groups. Through horses and horticulture, EquiCenter is the area’s leader in delivering nature based therapeutic programming.

Unmounted Horsemanship
Children don’t necessarily have to ride to gain the immense benefits that come from working with our horses. We offer a series of unmounted programming options that teach responsibility, foster self-confidence, and provide powerful healing to children of all ages and abilities.
Equine-Assisted Learning
The goal of Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) is for students to take their experiential learning—building relationships with horses through hands-on, unmounted activities—and transfer it in practical ways to their everyday lives. People learn through relationships, observation, and feedback. Horses provide all three in an authentic way.
Pony Parties
Hold your next celebration at EquiCenter. A Pony Party is a two-hour private event on EquiCenter's beautiful 200-acre property that includes hands-on horse time. This experience is open to all ages and abilities and is a great way to learn about and spend time with these majestic creatures.
Summer Program
EquiCenter’s Summer Program offers a dynamic weekly experience for youth 5+, combining hands-on horse activities, nature-based learning, and horticulture, all while fostering social and emotional growth. With sensory areas for regulation and flexible classroom activities, it’s the perfect way to gain horse knowledge and enjoy the outdoors this summer. Activities include:
Farm activity—Work alongside our Outdoor Learning instructor and learn how things grow on our organic teaching farm. Learn how nearly 100 food crops grow and explore the thriving ecosystem as we spend time using the five senses to explore all that the farm has to offer.
Helping Hands—Work on a project on the Farm or in the barn. Learn how to set up horses’ grain, harvest produce for food donation, or the tasks involved in day-to-day life at EquiCenter.
Horse Time—Learn how to groom, lead, and care for our horses. This activity is packed full of ways to grow your horse knowledge and hands-on experience.
Nature activity and mindfulness—Spend time in nature learning all about the species and varieties of living things that call the 200-acre EquiCenter property home. From Koi fish to blackberries, this activity gets everyone outside and learning about the natural world around us.
