At the center of who we are

Since our founding, EquiCenter has had horses at our center and in our hearts.  We remain the area’s premier adaptive riding and therapeutic horsemanship organization, helping countless participants over our two decades. But as the needs of the community change, the name EquiCenter has come to represent much more.

A constant focus on the needs of our community has expanded our programs to serve a growing list of participant groups—from people with different abilities to veterans to youth from underserved communities. Our therapeutic programming equips each with resources and skills tailored to their specific needs so that all who come to us in need experience healing that comes naturally.

Mission

EquiCenter fosters growth, wellness, and educational opportunities for people of all abilities through the power of horses, horticulture, and nature-based experiences.

Purpose

EquiCenter, Inc. at William and Mildred Levine Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that sits on a beautiful 200-acre property in Honeoye Falls, NY.  We are a premier accredited member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.). Through the therapeutic power of horses and nature, we create a supportive space for all to experience healing, find purpose, and feel connected.

History

We opened our doors with the Adaptive Riding Program in 2004 and since have added a range of offerings, including therapeutic horticulture on our organic-practice farm, farm-to-table cooking classes, mustang gentling, and many nature-based educational programs. Now, EquiCenter serves all ages and abilities with a focus on those with disabilities, youth from underserved communities, veterans, and first responders.
