Therapeutic Riding Program
Our therapeutic riding program has helped hundreds of children and adults reach their individual goals and we are looking forward to helping hundreds more.
Riders participate in structured classes that provide therapeutic and educational benefits in accordance with the individual’s goals, as well as an outlet for sport, recreation, and leisure.
Lessons are tailored to provide optimum therapeutic experiences for each student. All of our instructors are PATH certified and use a variety of methods to enhance participants physical and cognitive abilities.
Each lesson is assisted by a trained volunteer team, which lead the horse and walk alongside the participant to help stabilize and support as needed.
Our participants face a variety of challenges, including:
-

Riding has benefitted Claire in so many ways- physically, socially, but mostly in how she sees herself. It has been so gratifying to watch Claire's love affair with her horses at EquiCenter, which has enriched her life in so many unexpected ways.
